Album

Album 2003 9 Songs. Lime Structure Vibrasphere. was a progressive psytrance music duo from Uppsala, Sweden. Its founding members were Rickard Berglöf and Robert Elster. 1 History. Robert decided to quit the group half a year after the release of their second album, Lime Structure, due to constant touring. Rickard continued both touring and studio recording. In 2005 Robert decided to rejoin the group, leaving Rickard still in charge of touring duties. Their fourth album, Exploring the Tributaries 2007, took a few more leaps towards progressive, fading the barriers between trance and house music while also featuring dub, downbeat and ambient tracks. The entire album is utterly chilling though there are some uptempo trakcs as well, and a few that actually remind me of 'normal' progressive trance. Quite predictable and repetitive sounds that bear nothing unique to listener, fairly overrated release.

you got to be kidding, you were like 12-13 years old when this bomb got released and made the world stood still... this is by far one of the greatest albums in the electro genre of all times.. it is still very timeless and is loved by every techno head from the big progressive trance wave from 2000-2007... give it one more listen dude...!! :D

For me one of the best psy trance albums ever and well ahead of their time and also timeless.

For those who haven't discovered Vibrasphere, this album should be their starting point. It was mine back in 2004 when i grabbed it and got hooked on it. This was one of my first progressive trance albums, along Ticon's Aero and FREq's Strange Attractors - a true milestones in style. Let me put it this way - Lime Structure is your perfect multimood music, you feel like dancing - its tribal percussions and energetic beats will drive you all the way; you feel like chilling - its deep chords pads and spacey melodies will take you beyond... Vibrasphere had very successful carrier but i think that this album really brought their game on. Their Debut 'Echo' was more into Goa-Progressive area with faster tempos, but with Lime Structure they really defined how progressive trance should sound like. And now, almost 10 years after, still sounds clean and sharp as back in 2003. So, when i compare what is today considered to be progressive: a triple-bassed slowed down full on music with no creativity or musical diversity and dynamics, i really feel grateful that at some point people were doing music not for fame and money sake (although it eventually came by itself for Vibrasphere guys) and we will have these timeless beats hopefully echo for new some new people who appreciate unique electronic dance music. Thank you, Vibrasphere.

Great musical ideas, but the constant use of the kickdrum in all but the first track and the use of the same samples and synths in every single track makes this release seem very repetitive and uncreative. The first track is the best, and the rest do sound nice but the mood is inconsistent; some are more funky, others are more psychedelic. Overall this release is worth a listen or two, but it is not an essential must-have.

This album I have been less sure about. Let's start on a positive note. I really dig the artwork and the booklet. Nice and I wish we'd see this more often. The music? Let me put it like this; Track 5 Manzanilla gives me the love munchies and instant desire to crash in the shade under a tree at a festival with a beatiful girl ... :o) This track is so chilling, filling & relaxing you just want to share the tranquility it provides with the opposite sex. Which is also why I am a little insecure about the album. I guess this would be labelled progressive but I would much rather hear the first half of this album on the chill out stage. First and simply because many tracks here are downbeat. Secondly because even a faster track like Lemon Phase has a relaxing edge that sends me trancing within rather that dancing-out. To hear this track at a chill out stage at night?! It'd rock my butt of! The second half of the cd provides faster tracks and I guess playing these at the chill out stage would be considered out inappropriate. Unfortunately, I am not 100 pct positive they would rock me at mainstage. The verdict? Well, I have nothing against this album, but overall I guess it's not a favourite either. Still, if you like progressive you should check out this albun simply for the first half and its different type of progressive. If you want head-on progressive trance go for Son Kite instead. In any case, be sure to get Manzanilla for the ladies ...
