Album

Deceit is the second and final studio album by English experimental rock band This Heat, released in 1981 by Rough Trade Records. As with their self-titled debut album, the tracks on Deceit were assembled from largely improvised recordings that the band accumulated since their inception in 1976, with varying degrees of audio quality. However, it is generally considered to be more song-oriented than its largely abstract predecessor. The title is in part a pun on the band's name. This video was made only for entertainment. Just sayin', I don't own nothing, every time you take down a full album video your mom is being banged by Deceit. Deceit is the second album by British experimental rock band This Heat. Recorded mainly in a disused meat locker the band named Cold Storage, it deals with the overarching themes of nuclear annihlation and the ways humanity would deal with living in the complete and utter devastation which followed. Deceit Q&A. Out of all the boundary breaking that occurred during the fertile era of post-punk, This Heat's Deceit is one of the most expansive, imaginative, and remarkably wild records to have been produced during the time - and very possibly the last three decades. It's an impressive procession of tangential shards that encompass tape collages, Middle Eastern motifs, barbaric vocal clamoring, and occasional pointy-jagged-atonal guitar passages that alternate between hypnotizing and shooting clean through your spine. Deceit is the second and most widely-acclaimed album by This Heat. Its recording began in early 1981 in the band's Cold Storage studio. The central theme of the album is the impending destruction of the world by nuclear war. Charles Hayward explained in a later interview, We had a firm belief that we were going to die, and the record was made on those terms. The whole thing was designed to express this sort of fear, angst, which the group was all about really. The album was intentionally given. This Heat were many things, but popular was never one of them. It's almost funny to see this record. This Heat's sound was something like a confrontation of prog, free-jazz and contemporary electronic music think early Stockhausen, not Kraftwerk. They often get lumped into the post-punk or even just punk camp, for no better reason other than they started at the same time. This Heat - Deceit 1981. To favorites 5 Download album. Listen album. Deceit By The Heat is the equivalent of Trout Mask Replica , but if you were to take away everything that made it likable. Deceit is a horrifyingly bad record that makes long nails on a chalkboard feel like Beethoven. From the vocals to the instrumentation, its pitiful to think that this is so critically acclaimed. Its nightmarish, but not in the sense that a band like Daughters could do where everything about the record was so good at making a horrific atmosphere. read more. The best record of the 80's, according to Rolling Stone magazine, was 1979's . London Calling'. This, of course is misguidedly wrong. Not only was this album from the 70's, it has some decidedly self-conscious awfully contrived crap on it. The correct answer is obviously Deceit by those denizens of the basement club, This Heat. No other record captures the constant fear of mutual annihilation on cold war era Earth than this wildly experimental, yet accessible, dark masterpiece. The saddest thing about this art object,is that it is even more relevant today, in th
