Tennis has developed a wonderful sound, an amalgam of a myriad of influences consisting of just a small amount of so many styles, wrapped up to create something different from all of them. Here we have a bit of 60s girl pop, a bit of modern indie, a bit of funk, a bit of later Genesis, a bit of 80s dance, etc. but what makes the end result so worthwhile is the songwriting. Hooks abound, but so do subtleties, enough for this reviewer to get mileage out of repeat listenings
