Where the Corpses Sink Forever is the third studio album by the Dutch symphonic black metal band Carach Angren. It was released on May 18, 2012 via Season of Mist. The concept of this album is not about a Dutch urban legend or ghost stories, like the previous two albums, but it deals with war. The album contains references to World Wars I and II, as well as the Vietnam War. The first track is a tape recording of a soldier who was ordered to shoot seven prisoners of war, and each shot can be heard. CARACH ANGREN will take you to the hell of war with their mind blowing third full-length Where The Corpses Sink Forever. With bold strokes of eerily shimmering and whirring guitars, scratching dashes of fiercely rasping vocals, dabs of precisely rattling drums and a wide palette of grey and black sound hues, the trio creates dark portraits of supernatural landscapes. Review Summary: Carach Angren is back with the release of their tertiary album Where the Corpses Sink Forever, arguable their best work to date and the best black metal album of 2012. Admittedly, Carach Angren are not doing anything out of the ordinary that warrants such a high album rating. They are neither unconventional nor unique compared to other black metal bands that incorporate some form of symphonic orchestration into their music. Actually, one would find that their music sounds almost the same in style and form as many of the artists that would come up on YouTube by searching the vid. Where the Corpses Sink Forever Tracklist. An Ominous Recording Lyrics. Here I walk down this godless trench where the corpses sink forever into shallow marshy grounds. Ican't remember confronting these extreme forms of violence. Knee-deep in mud, where skies weep leaden tears and blood. It's hard to breathe within this thick cloak of sulphurius mist, conjuring slaughtering soldiers into sickening silhouettes. From this forsaken battlefield no soul can be dismissed. As if the devil is in charge, givin orders from the dephts of the abyss. Goddamn It's coming hard. Carach Angren Where the. Asag Asakku. June 18th, 2012. The Epitome of Symphonic.
